Transition. (originally called Extinction) was formed in San Francisco, California in 1986. The band existed until February of 1998. Transition. had one "official" release: SPINE (SST Records), released in April of 1994.
The four members of Transition. began rehearsing together again in August, 2013 after 16 years of inactivity - almost 20 years exactly since the recording sessions for SPINE.
